Slovakia will be presented in Milan through Casa Slovacca during the 2026 Winter Olympics

During the Winter Olympic Games Milano–Cortina 2026, Slovakia will have its own national presentation in the center of Milan. The Casa Slovacca project, prepared by SLOVAKIA TRAVEL in cooperation with the Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee (SOSC), aims to present Slovakia as a modern, confident, and responsible country while also supporting inbound tourism.

Casa Slovacca is conceived as a space where sport, culture, and tourism naturally come together during the Olympic Games. It is built on values that are an integral part of the Olympic movement — fair play, commitment, perseverance, cooperation, and respect. These are precisely the principles Slovakia wishes to communicate to the international public as part of its national identity.

It will serve to support Slovak athletes, present Slovak regions, and host meetings with partners and media at a time when global attention is focused on the Olympic events.

“We view the Olympic Games as a unique opportunity to present Slovakia in an authentic, confident, and responsible way. Casa Slovacca is a strategic investment in the country’s international perception and inbound tourism, with long-term benefits,”
said Matej Fekete, Director General of SLOVAKIA TRAVEL.

Casa Slovacca will be located in Galleria Meravigli in the center of Milan, in a space selected after careful consideration of availability, representativeness, and operational possibilities. The venue is divided into a public zone, a gastronomy zone, and a VIP/protocol zone, allowing for smooth operation and the organization of official meetings.

It will offer visitors a daily program, live broadcasts of Olympic competitions, cultural performances, and presentations of Slovak regions. It will create a space for meetings between fans, athletes, partners, and media during the Olympic Games.

“For Slovak athletes, it is important to feel the support of their country even outside the competition venues. Casa Slovacca creates a space where the sporting dimension of the Olympic Games is combined with a dignified presentation of Slovakia and its values at the international level,”
added Jozef Liba, Secretary General of the Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee (SOSC).

Casa Slovacca will be open from February 6 to February 22, 2026, throughout the entire duration of the Winter Olympic Games. Entry to the venue is free of charge and available upon prior registration via the official website www.casaslovacca.sk. On selected days, operation of the venue may be temporarily adjusted or limited due to protocol or official activities.

Casa Slovacca follows the strategy of SLOVAKIA TRAVEL to strengthen the international perception of Slovakia through major global events and to create impulses with long-term benefits for regions and tourism.

It is a place where visitors, during the Olympic Games, can experience the atmosphere of Slovakia right in the heart of Milan, support Slovak athletes, and become part of a shared Olympic story. The project creates space for meetings, emotions, and the sharing of values that connect sport, country, and people. It is also inspired by the spirit of solidarity and team support communicated by the SOSC through #drzmespolu and #smejedentim.

Casa Slovacca is being organised by the SLOVAKIA TRAVEL, the national organization for the support and promotion of tourism, in cooperation with the Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee.
